Why is Kokopelli our mascot?

In our first ADDult Support Group, a professional, a baby boomer shared, "I collect Kokopellis.  You know the Southwest Indian god. He's a flute player. I really identified with him.  I saw myself in him. Now I know why. I believe the hunched-back represented my ADD. It was invisible to me -- nothing explained my problems. It was always there but just like Koko I went on. I didn't give up.  I am now giving myself credit for finding creative solutions and flying by the seat of my pants sometimes."
